Segmented rooflight
Single- or double-skin construction in acrylic (PMMA) or polycarbonate. The modular design allows opening mechanisms to be installed at a later stage.
Continuous rooflights bring natural daylight into production, warehouse and retail buildings. They can be installed on flat or pitched roofs and equipped for daily ventilation and natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation.

Compare the specified glazing build-ups for daylight, thermal and acoustic requirements.
Show where ventilation is needed; smoke exhaust requires a dedicated, coordinated configuration.
POS plastika offers single- or double-skin continuous rooflights in acrylic (PMMA) or polycarbonate, installed directly on rooflight upstands. The modular design allows opening mechanisms to be added at a later stage.
Separate internal load-bearing and external cover profiles provide a thermal break along the curve. Service life also depends on installation, use and maintenance. Any smoke and heat exhaust function requires the appropriate dedicated configuration.
The supporting structure uses an extruded aluminium profile with an untreated finish as standard. The catalogue’s description of a silicone-free construction without seals concerns the unit itself, not its connection to the roof. The roof joint and waterproofing must be specified in the installation detail.
Roof-opening width W: 1,000–6,000 mm
Roof-opening length L: modular, with total length confirmed for the project
The galvanised metal rooflight upstand can be straight-sided or tapered. The upstand height ranges from 30 to 70 cm. It is prepared for insulation up to 10 cm thick and can be powder coated in a RAL colour on request.
The glazing consists of UV-resistant multiwall polycarbonate sheets with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.
The double-flap ventilator can be used for daily ventilation or as a smoke and heat exhaust ventilator, while also providing natural daylight. A choice of flap, flange and base configurations makes it possible to select the system that best meets the project’s individual requirements.
To ensure weather resistance and low maintenance, the system is manufactured from high-quality, corrosion-resistant aluminium.
The ventilators can be opened by a P2 double pneumatic compressed-air cylinder or a 230 V electric actuator. For smoke and heat exhaust operation, a P2F double pneumatic compressed-air cylinder with thermal-bulb activation or a 24 V electric actuator can be installed.

Roof-opening width W: 1,000–2,500 mm
Roof-opening length L: 1,000–3,500 mm
Opening angle: up to 90°

The UV-resistant multiwall polycarbonate sheets carry a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. Curved systems are available with a BROOF(t1) classification to EN 13501-5:2016 and fall-through safety testing to EN 14963:2006 and GS-BAU-18:2015.
Choose the rooflight together with the roof build-up and required function. For heated spaces, consider the glazing, frame, upstand and roof connection as a whole.
No. The modular principle allows different overall lengths, but the opening, support, loads and ventilation layout must be checked for the building. Warranty coverage follows the manufacturer’s applicable conditions.
No. Ug describes the glazing or infill specified in the table. The frame, upstand, dimensions and roof connection also affect the complete installed system.
No. A fall-through test is not approval for walking on the glazing. Provide safe roof access and maintenance arrangements.
You can send an initial enquiry with the information you already have. Final dimensions and configuration are confirmed before manufacture; roof measurements should be taken by a qualified contractor.
